Skyhook is the UK’s leading utility helicopter provider, specialising in underslung load operations and aerial surveying.

Skyhook specialises in delivering to places other services can’t reach. When road transport isn’t an option due to rough terrain, remote locations or severe conditions, we offer an alternative: a hook from the sky.

Our helicopters

We operate two Eurocopter AS 350 B3+ series aircrafts, powered by an efficient 2B1 engines. These helicopters provide a lifting capacity of approximately 1200kg, making this the most capable lifting aircraft in its class.

We have recently purchased a brand-new Airbus H125, which will strengthen our fleet and assist our customer service.

What we do

We serve the construction, forestry and agricultural sectors, with the ability to carry a wide range of loads from concrete and aggregates to timber and mechanical equipment, and even livestock. We construct masts and fight moorland and forest fires. We’re a logistics company with a difference, able to deliver anywhere and offering exceptional customer service on each and every job.

Our pilots

Skyhook pilots are amongst the most experienced and capable in the UK. Each is trained to the highest standard—HESLO 4 qualified, the top level in sling load operations. We specialise in high-precision slinging by vertical reference, using lines ranging from 5 to 45 metres. Whether the task is complex, delicate or remote, their focus remains the same: accuracy, efficiency and, above all, safety.

Our groundcrew

Skyhook employs a dedicated team of in-house ground crew on a full-time basis. Our role is to ensure every lift is carried out safely, efficiently and with precision and attention to detail. We are highly trained and a number of us are certified mast climbers, trained to operate in challenging environments and to support complex aerial operations. Our experience and coordination are essential to maintaining the high standards we set for every job.
